DR. BRIAN B. JACOBUS JR., DDS, MS
Dr. Jacobus has spent the majority of his life in St. Lucie county as not only an orthodontist, but as a leader among the orthodontic community. When Dr. J isn’t working on his golf game or fly fishing on the Indian River Lagoon, he is most likely spending time with his family. Dr. J is married, has three children and four grandchildren who always keep him busy.

Dr. Alex Desman
Dr. Desman grew up in Palm City, Florida and is excited to return to the Treasure Coast to serve his community. He is a board certified orthodontist and is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Board of Orthodontics, Southern Association of Orthodontists, and Florida Association of Orthodontists. Outside of the office, Dr. D has a wonderful wife Molly, and a mini golden doodle named Milly. Together, they enjoy watching sports, cooking, and spending time with friends and family. Some personal hobbies include playing golf and exercising on the spin bike.
Our Staff
Our staff is friendly, caring and eager to help! Every member of our team is a highly trained professional who attends frequent continuing education courses. They are all parents or aunts themselves, so they share your concerns when it comes to caring for your children.
Diane is our office manager and is a Certified Orthodontic Assistant. She has worked in the orthodontic field since 1985 and has been with Desman and Jacobus Orthodontics since 1999. Married to her high school sweetheart in 1981, they have three beautiful daughters and four beautiful grandchildren. Diane enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is active in her church ministry.
Mackenzie is our scheduling coordinator. Mackenzie recently married her high school sweetheart. She plans to attend IRSC to study elementary education. She enjoys baking, crafting, and being in nature in her free time.
Trisha is a Certified Orthodontic Assistant. She graduated from Centennial High School. While attending dental assisting school, Trisha discovered her passion for orthodontics and she is excited to pursue her career! In her spare time, she likes to paint, go to the beach and when she’s not at the beach she’s shopping.
Kayla is a Certified Orthodontic Assistant and lab tech. Kayla and her husband have two children. She enjoys fishing and boating with her husband and is also an experienced hair stylist.
Aubri is a Certifed Orthodontic Assistant and has been with Dr. Jacobus since 1993. Happily married since 1996, Aubri and her husband have one daughter. Aubri enjoys shopping and going to the beach. She is also a big fan of the Dave Matthews Band. Her weekends are spent with her husband traveling throughout the state watching their daughter compete in volleyball tournaments.
